On March 20, 2017 members of CUPE Local 5791 voted to ratify a two-year collective agreement with the University of Regina. The Board of Governors voted to ratify the agreement on March 16, 2017.
The term of the new collective agreement is from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2017.
The deal includes a 1.5 percent wage increase in the first year, modest benefit increases, retroactive pay and a lump sum payment.
Unless otherwise stated, all changes will take effect the 1st of the month following ratification of the agreement by the parties. Retroactive economic adjustments will be provided to all active employees including those on disability and approved leave and those who have retired since January 1, 2016.
CUPE Local 5791 represents support staff at the University of Regina.
